Oh, it is always so hard for me to admit that summer is slowly closing out – I LOVE the hot and sun! But I also love "back to school" time, and the great anticipation of what the fall season is going to bring.
This is especially meaningful in the design business, as so much of our business year hinges on the Holiday Season and the work you do before Thanksgiving and Christmas.
So to ensure we are all off to the fresh start that we need, here is one little tip you can use for the next two weeks.
1. Every morning, immediately after checking your email, set your handy kitchen timer for 20 minutes. (You KNOW how much I love my kitchen timer for getting tasks done!)
2. Then spend the next 20 minutes on ONE organizing task. Clean off your desk, clean out your email, go through your mail, etc. Just 20 minutes. You will be SHOCKED at how much you can get done in 20 minutes when you are focused.
3. REPEAT for two weeks
4. Celebrate your preparedness!
Now how easy was that??
