When I retired to go into this new venture, I couldn't get the "teaching" out of my system. If you have expertise in a field, I would recommend that you contact the local community college about offering a NON-CREDIT course. I offer a two-day course for people who want to learn about staging their own home for sale and another course that meets weekly for an entire quarter to learn about elements of interior decorating. They're both fun for me to teach and I have indeed met many people, some of whom have given me their own business and others who have referred me to their friends. At the very least, my name gets out there; people get to know and trust me, and I can add them to my database for ongoing contact. As Martha would say, "It's all good."
